The Body - My Thoughts

The novel ‘The Body’ by Stephen King is a well written, well presented book that conveys a moral that everyone learns when they grow up and this moral is ‘The best years of your life is your childhood so live it well and never forget what you learned in those years’.

This novel contrasts form the film as it gives us a more detailed foreground of what the story is about. In the novel, Stephen King provides us with a greater and more in depth view of the story and what it is about.

This was a great novel to read as it portrayed much detail and moral throughout the novel.

Stand BY Me - My Thoughts

The film ‘Stand By Me’ based on the novel ‘The Body’ by Stephen King was an interesting film due to the fact that the four children learned morals that stayed with them throughout their lives. These morals taught them to cherish their childhood years and never forget it.

In many scenes the film contrasts from the novel when flashbacks occur in the film that is not described in the novel, these flashbacks add to the meaning already described to us through the scenes. These flashbacks portray many emotions to the audience that they can relate to in terms of meaning and morals.

This film was very interesting to watch because it was a genre that I was not familiar with, it introduced me to the new genre well and I quickly understood what was going on.

Yours sincerely,

Daniel Krstevski
